Just what I needed

My Whirlpool Duet had leaked intermittently for quite a while. Had a service guy out to look at it, and he couldn’t find anything wrong with it. He mentioned that maybe the bellows had a tear in it somewhere that he (or I) couldn’t find, and he would get me a price to replace it. The next day he called me back with a $375 price tag. Needless to say I skipped it. One day I came down and there were suds all over the floor- this time the bellows had a huge tear in it. I called a local parts place- $130 for the part. Got it here for a little over half that, plus I got it in less than a week. Took about an hour to replace it and it has not leaked since. I checked all over the internet and this was the best price anywhere.

Thin but workable…

This seal had to be purchased last year, and now again just a year later. Seems the manufacturer is in it for the bucks because we’ve only had the washer for three years and now on the third seal…and we don’t overload it, the seal is just very thin. Unfortunately, unless we can purchase a new washer, our hands are tied. But the seller we purchased it from is great.

My suggestion? Don’t buy a front load washer…period.

Just perfect!

This was the fix to my problem. The door seal on our washer completely corroded through ending up with a hole in the bottom, thus water leaking everywhere. I ordered this door seal to replace it, and it was the perfect match, and it was shipped quickly! Now I’m waiting for the arrival of a new water inlet valve to stop the water leak that probably caused the first door seal to corrode.
